Maelstrom

"A maelstrom of whirling emotions in me shout, 
Penning it down helps me sort it out." 
                                          ~ by poet

Man is a jumble of emotions, 
A maelstrom of conflicting passions, 
Enshrined in his heart are strong notions, 
Love, mercy, peace, joyful compassions
Swirl together in mind's deep oceans, 
Turmoil in this vortex leads to war, 
Restlessness and negative uproar;
Overthinking whirls of thoughts explored, 
Maelstrom of feelings in poems poured.
