Madness Lives Here

Welcome Honored Guest
In here
they use special jackets
to hug us tight

in here
they help us eat
and make sure
our friends play fair

but Honored Guest
we remember
how to play
with no rules

so we wait
for the time
when a friend will let us free
out into the night

they think us mad
but there is one
out in the night
cloaked in fear

one who would not hug us
one who would not play fair
one who would hurt us
for having a laugh or a joke
