Madness

a weight with me as i walk, i drag it with my every step, it' bound to me, as am i to it, my strength lacking, structure questionable, a slowly sinking hope is all that grips my fist, my fathers eyes grow old and distant, his grasp left far behind, i aim to overcome his fate, for witnessing his his path shined i light for me where he had traveled blind. along with ignorance went bliss, in its place i hold knowledge, of both chance and possibility, so know along this line i know, this fear i can now face in life, with hope i carry with me. Interesting use of language and poetically constructed. Nicely done. Thanks for reading and commenting on my poem, "Weight of the World."
