Madmen and Fools

I miss something I've not seen for a while, it used to just magically appear. And held the power to hold back a tear, able to both mesmerize and beguile. I'm speaking of a spontaneous smile, that is now suppressed by worry and fear. We live in precarious times of late, where children shoot their classmates with a gun. And despite parents' demands, nothing's done; the atrocities only escalate. We've let gun control deteriorate: and there's plenty of blame for everyone. Religious gatherings and public schools are now killing grounds for madmen and fools.

Emile, wonderfully penned and so full of truth and meaning, I truly touched my heart and made me angry at the same time at the powers that allow this to continue to happen, well done ~
