To the diner Mac went for a meal
Where he ordered two helpings of veal.
All he had was one dime
Could not pay! What a crime!
Washing-up was the fairest MacDeal.

Hello Paul your limerick is cute it brought a smile to my face.I felt sad that the guy could not pay for his meal.Paul I .have a question I would like to ask you. I did Paul my poem is titled A Life's Journey. Once I began to write this poem, my pen continued to write until I got a long poem written out. Regards. Thank you.

this is AWESOME. I don't know how she will choose from all the clever entries! And thanks for seeing both poems on the cold hearted one! I think only one or two people preferred it as free verse.

I'm elated by your feedback, Andrea! Thank you! ~ I think that any poem is usually at its best at the first attempt. Small changes can be made to better it (it often happens to me), but writing it all over seems to detract from its originality (my opinion, of course!) Regards // paul

A fun Limerick Paul! I can remember being in this spot once when I forgot my wallet, but thank goodness they trusted me to go get it and come back to pay. Good luck in the contest! : )

Thank you, Connie. Forgetting or mislaying a wallet is one thing, but there are some who do it intentionally. Not long ago I saw a waiter running after two young tourists...they split up, went opposite ways and disappeared! Regards // paul

Hi Paul, had to drop in on the Limerick. I now have my full laughter quota for this afternoon. A great Limerick my friend. I do like reading this form and you have done this write so well. This is one i can't do. This form has beaten me but at least i get to read the Limericks of others. Well written my friend. Your friend always....Mike. This one goes into my faves.
