At eight
I latched on like a babe
in need of nourishment 
a positive role model
when my role
was never model
her message sent
I need not be gorgeous 
to be fabulous 
and found my beauty in that
M is not for mother
that divine love I
miss
yet never met
M is for Midler
who shaped my 
Madness   You bet!

Forever indebted 
my eternal thank you
