Lunar Mirror

Like a volcanic deluge
a noble golden amber and ruby
exotic lunar mirror
hangs suspended in the horizon.

Attractive and inviting
it decorates the heavens
worlds necessity
warming the ground
and baking our skin
giving light and life
enhancing each fragrant morning bud.

Radiant its feisty angry glow
ignites the sky
pouring trillions of bright reflections
to dance and swirl upon our waters
seas rippling calm or waves crashing down
each droplet becomes perfect diamond.

An exquisite performance
mind consuming until
silhouette dissolves days fever
and interrupts delight
for Earth natural satellite
moon to take centre stage.

Our sun departs
but never repents
nor forgets to return
to tender our world
once more.
