Lullaby

When you simply cannot sleep
When the worries will not keep
Sleep won't come though you try
I will sing this sweet lullaby

Grief will haunt you no more
I will kick it out the door
Loving coos replace the sting
That pain of heart does often bring

When loss causes you to weep
The calm of my voice, it will seep
into your bones, into your soul
Peace of God makes your heart whole

If God should place with me this task
I will fulfill what he should ask
Much Deep Joy I'd love to bring
The words will come and I will sing
