Lucy

Extremely temperamental she preens and poses like a princess with a secret. Conceited and remote she craves attention and cries until she gets it. Soft to the touch she cuddles closely as I hold her in my arms. She loves to eat, yet maintains her slender figure, so trim, so debonair! She's not easy to live with but she's worth it, despite her cold nose, her scratchy claws and my urge to sneeze, my heart is hers to keep!

Just had to have a peek at this one Keith, this is my first name and I use my second. So I'm in good company with a kitty! :)

How well you describe the appeal of felines, Keith! How DO they eat so much and still maintain their "slender figures"? Cries for attention are answered quickly in my house, where cats see me as their "pet." What a wonderful poem!! If you don't mind, I'd like to share this with other pet owners. Love, Carolyn
