Lucky
We're so lucky...
In the whole wide world
of livin' breathin' you's and I's
but separately apart, we found
Each other...lucky...
And both at once at one time
Simultaneous you might
but fortunately didn't say
looked saw understood the way it was
With one another...lucky!
But tie-ups
Some green slime
of disillusions past and
present spouse spouses nice
Offspring miscellaneous and respective.
We looked saw touched
What the hell who owns us
?inconsequential fights
?sex in a bed
Insomniatic 'nother cup if coffee?
We look talk know each other
Livin' breathin' you and I
but separately apart
untarnished illusion shiny bright...
Why, I can hardly stand to be so lucky!
