Lucifer's Unasked Question

unryhmed free style

Lucifer newly off the birthing table,
looked at himself and made comparisons.
"My face is like the face of God,
I am the fairest of angels all."

During his time of testing,
short-term decisions bore fruit
"God calls me, the angel of light.
I am the wisest of angels all."

He mustered around him a crowd -
peers who boasted much the same as he.
Heaven is a grand place to live
except for the serving of Creator God.
"I am the strongest of angels all."

On the other sides of heaven
were those "other" angels, mighty angels.
There was Gabriel with his crowd of followers
and Michael's group who were strongly obedient.
Lucifer ignores probability -
"What do I do, if by chance, I should fall?"
