Lucifer's Cry

Created in wondrous light
Beauty now held within
Until darkness invaded
And touched with great sin

Now sorrow is seen
While pain fills his eyes
Will the Lord still hear
His wounded cries?

Or is he forever doomed
To walk this earth alone?
No one to comfort him
Or offer him a home

Raising his head
He prays for the light
Please come and end
This torturous night

He has fallen from grace
Sickened by lies
Looking for salvation
To save his soul before he dies

For he would gladly
Send steel through to bone
Please, dear Lord
Just welcome him home

Trapped in Hell now of his own making
His God turned a blind eye
Heaven, no more his for the taking
World left to suffer, Lucifer's cry
