Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Lucie's Lullaby

sleep well, o gentle giant
your soft voice still echoes
through luscious midnight air
beneath a moon that seems enchanted

sleep well, o gentle giant
let your mind be at peace
and your heart serene
you loved as much as you were loved

sleep well, o gentle giant
know you’ve always been
the flame in my heart and
will be with my every breath
until the day we meet again

sleep well, my love, my gentle giant

There is something familiar here, a distant, Je ne sait quoi, that calls across the ages, and calming. I had to respond, nice, Meru.
