Loyalty's Aftermath

It's a dream I never had
A story I never read
A choice I never made
And a song I never sang

It came to existence when we met
Leaving me with no doubt about it
With it I didn't feel upset
I knew I had to live with it

Time went by and we were fine
We did everything we thought was right
That's when I told myself you were mine
I never thought we would have a fight

I don't know what happened but you changed
Forcing me to excuse you while you take calls
I've asked so many times but you left me hanged
I was worried more when I caught you talking to the walls

In us you totally gave up
Blaming me for every single mistake
Telling me to shut up
That you feel like throwing me in the lake

You told me I am disgusting
That you were better off without me
I knew there was someone you were seeing
Someone two times better than me

I was a fool
All you did was to pretend
Acting like everything was cool
I bet that was never what you intend

Cherity, Dumelang, or Kunjaani. (Durbs guy in Virginia, say thanks for writing) You have great rhyme, and command of the language. Sorry for the situation, but seem very strong. He is wrong. Begone!

Maybe there was a bird in the sky-That looked down for good reason-There was never a worm at morning dawn-Or a branch to share a song-Only a burning bridge on her side
