loving is precious

He who loves no one,
Think about everyone,
He thinks about stupid cashiers,
To the journalist who has fun with him,
To the war in middle East

he can’t hear the birds,
The titmouse with a turquoise heart,
The blackbird with its head so green,

He who loves no one,
Cannot understand horses,
Nor admire the large cruise ships,
Like Ulysses before the sirens,
He thinks of everyone.

He thinks of everyone, but can't love anyone or anything deeply. Beautifully thought out, dear Yaan.

A full head Yann it seems.? With an empty heart.' Arriving at devoided dreams..' Or some nothing, similar? if Not similar-the-same.? I think i'll need to read this again.'

how precious and important our shared humanity is. I feel for those who don't 'share.'

I agree…also when you’re angry, you don’t see colors…you have to concentrate to bring things back into focus. The first thing that hit me was…he can’t hear the birds. Even working in a partially underground room can do that to you - my husband, just before retirement began to hear the birds…what is that noise…it was early morning…too funny

A thought-provoking poem that touches on themes of love, appreciation, and the lack thereof, Yann. It presents a clear contrast between the experience of love and the lack of it, which adds depth to the poem.

Interesting lines penned, Yann. I enjoyed reading it today. He who doesn't love doesn't really love himself. Sara K
