Loving Is

Loving ain't simple
if it was...
We wouldn't have the heartache and pain
The stress and the strain
A tongue we had to refrain
And even after we say it,
We feel so ashamed.
Loving is a difficult thang!
Constantly on your brain
Hoping the other feels the same,
And you're not down a one way street
How you got there? Having to explain.
Love is a beautiful picture,
A vision outside your window pane
So gentle, so tame
A painting of a daydream,
Captured in a frame.

Carol, Thank you. I myself have studied poetry and not have yet gotten the concept of all forms. I enjoy reading your work as well. All poetry can be classified as heart felt.
