Loving God's Creatures

I am not a pet owner,                                                                                                                                                                                                                       
            But I am surrounded by cats and squirrels                                                                                                           I love gardens and greenery, birds, flowers, and shady trees.                                                                         Although water is a premium in my state, we manage.
                                                                                          
                        The plums were plentiful this year,                                                                                                                                   But the nectarines and peaches are rather tiny and suspect.
As for my lawn, I went brown several years ago.

      I think that green grass is beautiful but too expensive.
            I think the cats drove the lizards away.
                        Sunshine and blue skies are great;
                                                                                                                     But we need water, and I wish it would rain.
            My city is among the top tree cities in America.         
      Trees are great for fighting pollution.
                        Chirping birds, shady trees, and cats are wonderful
