Love's Truth

Your smile unfolds warmly
Like morning breaks through windows
My heart wakes to you

Hands remember every touch
Since our first embrace

Eyes meet, stories shared
Over coffee cups steaming
Time stops just for us

Kitchen dance on tired feet
After work's long day

Children's laughter rings
Through our paint-chipped corridor
Home grows rich with joy

Daily bread tastes sweeter when shared
Between loving souls

Years fold like letters
Kept safe in memory's box
Each wrinkle tells love

Grey hairs mark paths we've wandered
Hand in hand, still strong

Dawn breaks anew now
As we wake to birdsong sweet
Love grows evergreen

Beyond youth's first blossoming
Truth deepens with time

What a testament of loving and being with someone for a lengthy amount of time through thick and thin!!! I enjoyed reading this free verse.
