Dark ominous clouds decorate the sky with fear Whispering that a winter storm is near The trees in silence stand, wait Until the heavens open the flood gates Will we survive the dreaded storms of life How will we keep going when times are scary Through God's promise that He would never leave us I am reminded of love's story

Love has got such sweet upshot that it will help survive the storms of life. If there is sweet company, even threatening old age can be made sweet. Love your poem and the image chosen.

Sara, I understand how you feel. I feel the fear as well, but we must cling to our hope, which I know you have, our hope is in the Lord, though we still do fear, it is scary. My darling and I have been married nearing forty-eight years, and I love him so. The scary winter and clouds, I understand. Hugs to you. Stay safe <3 May the Lord bless you and your sweetheart and keep you both safe and make His face to shine upon you, and bless this winter for you both. Thank you for writing this.

Thank you, BJ, for the blessing. We need all of them that we can get. Age takes its toll. I see you have been in a long-term marriage as well. So wonderful to read. So many young people want so much and can't adjust to any downward changes. They quit and leave and instead of sticking in there to see it through. I say if there is any kind of abuse though leave and leave fast. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

Nicely penned, Sara... Personally, I'd rather see a winter storm than the wildfires that are raging across the Los Angeles CA area.

Gershon, those fires are something else and leaving people with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Sad to see. Those storms that are burying people in places are not ideal either. They say we could get the very edge of this storm that is coming through tomorrow, but I know God will be there with us no matter what. Thanks for the visit. Sara K
