Love's Romantic Interlude

The twilight breeze moves the ocean slowly
as the tide moves its waves in compliance
on the horizon, the moon gleams holy
a rising soft scattered glow of silence
beneath this celestial sky, we hold hands
to dream on the seashore under moonlight
the roses we held have dropped to the sands
from kisses warm that fill our hearts with delight
where we'll leave footprints trailing on the shore
that will be filled by the dark sea of night
and travel to where love has been before
finding love at the sea till' morning light
the sea is where our love was found and bloomed
it's where our lover's heart will be consumed

Dear frederick, your poems are always so beautiful especially the ones that are romantic really are so soulful and so creative! I really love the way you’ve used alliterations here especially “ soft scattered glow of silence” so beautiful! “ the sea is where our love was found and bloomed it's where our lover's heart will be consumed”’as an islander i can resonate with that! What a stunning poem so well woven and delivered! Best wishes. Sending you light always
