Love's Quiet World

Love is a quiet world, with spacious realms
The heart will completely abandon its rules
And kiss the conqueror who overwhelms
To become King or court jester of fools
To trade your honor for willingly warm lips
When this world is confined between two arms
A soft touch to the mouth from fingertips
Will bring heart's guarded ramparts to disarm
This fiery world that needs no translation
Will expose the soul to its heated core
And claim burning hearts and their salvation
As flames turn to ashes for evermore

Love is a quiet world filled with debris
Left by court jesters not the Kings who flee
