Love's Pulse

Years passed me by, and I held my breath
I learned how to live unkissed, until…
Surrendered to passion, in the arms of grace
I filled the night’s chalice with tones of desire…
As the breathlessness of a starlight glimmer
Twisted through my soul, shimmering…
Erasing the twilight’s soft rhythm with music,
A song… if time turns, will scars stain the sky?
And will the miracles of laughing desires rise
Inside, fire burning… tie me to your tongue,
And whisper fervent yearnings to my incensed ears,
Murmurings of hot-blooded caresses in tears,
And melancholic poems, written by moonlight’s tears
And the yesterdays when the fire of my longings
Were nothing more than blurred images,
Feelings and longings, so adoring – yes, so obsessive,
Racing through my veins, in blood soaked images
The moon is an honest Manipulator, when told
Of the heart who believes, despite the grieving
It’s raining roses and love riots inside of me,
Where the miracle of a relationship between light
And dark… rises to sooth the blue in each sky,
And wipe out the rain who showers fear through those
Who know that the moon can kiss away the silence
With a breath of her fiery light, and a kiss
From the lips of a starlight reflection, in notes
of poetry, promising to reveal what it means to yearn
with a yearning that never lets the heart go,
a breathless yearning that never stops telling the soul
all the beautiful that God poured out on this world,
when He told her that love would only grow and grow
with the blessings that stir flames inside the one who knows
amid the quiet nights, there are promises,
who tell you more about the inside of a spirit
than the words that make me breathe….
The poem that makes me believe… yes, in the still
There are notes of light that soar to the skies
And silence the seas who roar despite the past,
And live forever on the wind and in the heart,
Who can see beyond the laughing chorus
Of a world who is silenced by easy rhythms
And words that remember, it is love
Yes, it is always love that can still the wind
And fight away the blizzards of darkest sin
So we can feel the beginnings of a love story
In the hearts who hear hope on every falling leaf
And see the gentle of a soul who knows relief
When the stars grow still and the night is so real
In the stillness of a summer heart
In the laughter of an autumn sky
In the miracle of a winter night
In the fresh of a spring so alive

These passions that betray what it means to see
Beyond the summer, beyond autumn’s grief
To the miracle of an intimacy with wind and tree
To the Son who frees the heart so we can see
Oh, yes I see… the passion that lives inside of me
Is a passion that will forever agree… love is all I will ever need
Love is the seed that I continue to feed
With this growing compassion, this joy, this belief
That is forever telling me to see the rain for what it is,
A music that plays through you and me,
Feeding the soul… as faith, grace and peace
Water the spirit with sincerity, serenity, sensitivity
All those things that help me to see… the beauty
Of a love that will forever be… love between you and me.

Dear Gina Your word choices, subtle use of alliterations, and the way youv painted imagery and expressed the spiritual flame, and the obsessive nature of it growing and glowing within your veins is truly soul touching. From the beginning till the end this poem made my heart feel so much: there are so many exquisite lines here that I would like to quote but they are too many to put in comments as your poem flows so seamlessly and is so very long. A poem that I can talk about for days. I loved it

Dear Gina, I love this incandescent, sprawling tapestry of faith, longing, and ultimate restoration. Your imagery bridges the visceral and the celestial so beautifully. Gina, it is a deeply personal, triumphant, and soaring testament to the enduring power of love. Thank you for sharing such a passionate, soulful piece! Blessings, Daniel
