Love's Last Reflection

State of our endeared union to appraise Day dreamers shadowed by palling haze Lover's moon now in the waning phase Mercurial waves bristle on the surface Detached planets spinning into malaise Your satin sheen; melancholy shield doth glaze Pale, fluttering beams my floundering libido chase Once silted dunes, you spindled into cratered maze Taut, lubed curves inflated pockets now encase On your spent years my jaded eyes do gaze One last glimpse Time's sterling mantle to efface Then with penitent tears your tenured lease will erase

Interesting work that you have penned..I especially like the third to last line "On your spent years my jaded eyes do gaze"...Reads like one older person writing to their sick mate..Enjoyed reading this afternoon..Thanks for stopping by my Tanka..Sara
