Author's Notes: "Love's Import" is a Rhymed Couplet I wrote which is set in a varied meter. This write presents in seven couplets a word picture of love's significance and consequence that occurs when two people meet and share their emotions and passions as part of their romantic destiny. The upshot is that as their emotions merge as one and they truly find one another, the strength of their convictions and bond of love shall propel them to one day be part of eternity's parade as their two souls are invited onward to dance in God's own heavenly serenade. Love’s Import Love’s import results when two lovers meet, Merging their emotions as one—what a treat! With an emotive force beyond all to compare, Love blinds all of us, at times, even on a dare. The longing and passion of two souls in love, Comes with its heavenly destiny from above. Cupid’s influence is oft felt in an eye glance, Which can bring two together in life’s dance. Love’s message is always special as two kiss, Seeking their moments of such romantic bliss. Love’s a special moment in eternity’s parade, As two souls dance to God’s heavenly serenade. Gary this is one beautiful romantic couplet, so well written, I don't know much about poetry but I do know when I read one, I hope your wife has read this one, Peter writes me two love poems every morning and has done for the last 10 years and I do so love them, take care my friend, regards to your wife.........Vera........

Hello Vera!! Thanks so much for your kind and gracious words here. I'm an avid fan, by the way, of Peter's poetry. He writes with such an ease and confidence that very few of us can hope to duplicate. My wife, Ingrid, (I live in Germany) reads all of my poems and short stories. She's actually co-written some poems with me. She likes my love poetry. And I can certainly identify with what Peter does every morning with two love poems. Yes Jerry!! -- I guess I've become "The Love Poet." That's what my wife calls me. Love is always that special calling card for writing. Everyone is interested in it. I told my wife though that come October, I will be writing nothing but dark theme poetry for that month. Maybe I can do a piece on "Dracula Falls in Love." I can still bring "love" into the darkness themes (HA HA!!). Best Wishes, Gary

Hi Kim!! I'm so glad you love it -- and I'm so glad you've seen fit to give me a "seven" and to FAV IT!! Yup, the soppy and gooey stuff is not me for sure. Your words of the philosophical and sensual, and the romantic sincerity certainly sum up very well and touch on the nuances of my write.
