Love's Fortitude
Love’s fortitude
It is the hunger of thy love I wish to make true,
So, no river can satiate the thirst I have for you.
In this perpetual desire, my soul longs for beginning,
Such effervescence you inspire that brings me to give in.
Youthful amorousness has led us to step forward,
And with sacred reverence from all the Gods,
We display much veneration for our word,
Thus, we’re here together beating the odds.
And with equal vehemence our lips may touch like this,
To remove Sunday’s disquietude,
Such extraordinary fervidness our bodies entwine like this,
To embrace Monday’s fortitude.
It is love which makes us both alive,
Then, alas! Speak of it no more!
We are blessed that will forever arrive
At what we so much yearned for.
