Love's Embrace

The moment our lips meet
my darling we are lost
drifting in the scattered night sky
floating with celestial stars
and spinning planets . . . 
silhouettes locked in love's embrace
mingling with the colors of the moon
and you reach up and
capture a sparkling polar star
for us to keep forever
and you whisper in my ear 
you are my Venus
my beautiful evening star
