Love's Dark Light
I love you much, Dear
Too much to say well.
Wordless love, that smiles
From silence; no sound
Assails its dark depth.
Love's best blooms rise
Through quiet space
Roots stealing down
Around the heart.
The fire burns
Bright, alone
Warm, unseen.
Heat flows
Light spreads
Sighs.
