Loves Breath

I love her. I've always loved her. Even when we were younger, I knew i'd always love her. So one day, I spoke into a jar, and quickly sealed it up, and hid it. She, and I went on with our lives, with she never knowing i loved her. Many years passed and we recently connected. We rekindled our friendship. I never married, and she being divorced, we decided to stay with each other in our old age. we've spent many warm, and wonderful years together. The happiest years of my life. Now, we share our last day together. I have nothing left. My words have left me, My strength is all but gone. All i have is the jar i saved for her, for this moment. As I pass slowly into the night she opens the jar. A light puff of air escapes the jar, gently pushing her hair back, surprisingly she hears the words "I'll always love you" come from the jar. She turns to look at me, but i am gone, as i gave my only love, my last breath

Hi Collin, You've penned such a poignant and touching write. I'm so happy to see they finally got together. Although it was a bit sad towards the end, it was so moving when she opened the jar and heard his heartfelt words. Well done:-) Alexis
