Lover's Absence

When not with whom you’re in love, Sadness shuns not from coming along. And sad hours seem long, As you don’t have that which, having, makes them short, And brings happy times to lot. Of them your mind is drawn to think, In good old memories, with them, your mind sinks. And about them, you can’t seem to forget to think. In “better half’s” absence; Eyes weep at good heart’s oppression. But then, “such is love’s transgression.”
