Lover

By chance I heard you
Knocking at my door
Soon I realized that
I wasn't numb anymore
I thought I was tough
You couldn't get under my skin
So I relaxed my guard
And you came dashing in
Now I wait for you
Staying up too late
I want to go to sleep
But I just have to wait
When you come to me
Hidden by the night
A battle rages deep inside
Desire I can't fight
I tried so hard
To push you away
But now I realize
That I wanted you to stay
