Love Your Mother Earth
If we as human species got a report card
I dare say we wouldn’t get a good grade
We tend to waste energy wishing on stars
While using guns blowing each other away
We rape the land with our very hands
And wonder why the climate is so weird
Why can’t we love earth and understand
Taking care for we all must live here
Pollution of the water
That we desperately need
Solution is not to slaughter
Every animal till there’s nothing to eat
If only we loved Mother Earth
As we love shallow pipe dreams
We’d heal her and not just search
For another planet for colonizing
I believe the younger generation
Will be wiser brighter and confess
That they will have to save the nations
That elders left them a bequest of a mess
May they succeed where we fail
For we taught what not to do so well
