Love You For You

Your smile breaks my heart
With every step away
I promise you right now
My faithfulness won’t stray
Your words conquer my fears
Your love absorbs my tears
My dreams infuse with yours
Opens and closes doors
I love you in the dark
I love you in the light
I love you when you kiss,
And hold me really tight
I love the way you smile
I love the way you laugh
I love it when you stand up tall,
Just like a cute giraffe
I love the way you skate
And how you pull my hair
I love how you are you
And say that you’ll be there
You’re more than just my friend
I feel you’ve always been
I love the way you look
When you drift off to sleep
I love how we can laugh
And make fun of the “sheep”
The way you look at me,
Says everything to me
I need you here tonight
At darkness, and first light
I love you for you
It’s nothing short of true
