Love Was Here

I can’t believe I ever called this my home

Everything I try to say
Makes me sound insane

Why would I go back
when there’s nothing to go home to?

I wish it didn’t end this way
You did and always will deserve more

But why would I go back
when there’s nothing to go home to

And there’s so much more that I wanted
to live beyond this
But these memories keep unfolding
In the worst way possible

I loved it here at one point
These walls have seen a few things
And I can’t just pretend like they haven’t

I can’t face this anymore
I’ve seen some rancid things
And I can’t keep pretending like I haven’t

I wish it didn’t end this way
You did and always will deserve more

But why would I go back
when there’s nothing to go home to?
