Oh my beloved, this life can be confusing. A plethora of recycled emotions, sometimes result in false devotions. Absence wounds with nostalgic reflections. Secluded souls yearning for old satisfactions. Oh my sweetheart, sometimes we feel like trees in Autumn, exposed to the harshness of an apathetic Winter. We battle the storms, remaining defiant until Spring. Virgin petals bloom among protective thorns in Summer. Only a true lover knows how to cultivate in the garden of love. Oh my darling, you remain hidden behind stubborn veils and even though I'm deprived of such pleasures, patiently my eyes wait for one glimpse of heaven. The stars are no substitute to illuminate my desires. The moon lacks mystery in comparison to your elegance. Oh my lover, my lips yearn to taste forbidden nectar. My heart envies those who breathe upon you. My hands seem empty without a hand to hold My eyes disinterested by this monotonous existence. My speech disillusioned with oxymoron contradictions. A sad soul searches among an abundance of cherry blossom trees, to unite with a unique rose resembling a titanium chrysalis. Upon this path of desperation, a true heart has no fear, life is a trial with many an adversity, the one who prevails, is the victor.

Great use of images, Silent One. I was very taken by the pattern of this. but I see it's simply narration. Anyway, I like how each stanza extends the lines one by one!

I started the day with reading your poem. A message from patience which spoke to me in a different context. I cannot procrastinate any longer now and have to start writing. Patience is good, but my fingers and brain have to start working. Thank you, Kai

Another sterling romantic gem, SO. What can be more lasting than a titanium chrysalis? Beautiful linguistic gardening, my talented friend. Such a powerful ink potion of elixir love. Wonderful prose poetry. Love and smiles forever.

A beautiful tribute to Valentines Day. 'Faint heart never won Fair Lady'...'a true heart has no fear, life is a trial with many an adversity, the one who prevails, is the victor.'..I do trust that his courage prevailed enough to win his Lady Love. A passionate poem indeed and a fave for me. Happy Valentine's Day....Maria
