Love the Fight
Love is the disease that’ll infect you.
You think you can stare people down?
Love is going to glare at you all day, every day.
You swear, yell… you scream!
Love is its own language.
And you think your tattoos are tough.
Love is a tattoo.
You tell the world to “go to hell”.
Love is already a hell for you.
You have muscles, you think you’re ripped.
Love is complete power.
You think you can “dance like a butterfly” around the ring.
You won’t see love come at you.
I don’t care how big the man you fight is,
Love will beat you every time.
You can run, jump, be an Olympian,
But love defies, ignores gravity.
You think you're tough when you do drugs?
Love has already screwed with your head.
You think you’re clever?
Love will make you stupid.
You say you have great friends.
Love will make them enemies.
You can create laws
And love will make you break each one.
Love will ignore your defiance, and laugh at your rage.
Love won’t stop, not when your asleep.
Love will show you no mercy.
But…..love…..it’s on your side.
Love is fighting the fight for you.
