Love Summoned

Case No 8-2-2026

The courtroom leans beneath coffee’s quiet steam
Sunlight drifts through blinds—dust motes caught in a beam
Your sleeve brushes mine, small evidence of a dream
A motion to smile, held soft, fragile as it may seem

Papers shuffle, sighing like well-worn shoes that creak
Each glance a witness, hesitant, conspiratorial, unique
I trace the rim of a cup—porcelain cold, yet sleek
Fingerprints of moments we cannot name or speak

Love leans forward and murmurs
We are the trial, the jury, the verdict we seek
