Love Stronger than Silence

Is your love stronger than silence? When words hide When wounded pride Holds expression hostage? Will you sit with me in quiet reverie of what used to be? Must I entice with lines rhymes that suit your fancy For you to read me? Can't you love me in the silence? You know my heart My thoughts My pain Must I bleed again and again In a bid for your sympathy? Won't you let old poems speak for me? Remembering past ecstacy when full bloom poetry was what you wanted to see Can't you embrace my soul in the silence Don't feelings transcend Verse verbosity? Silence is golden Once you were beholden to me Was that only because of my poetry? Don't shun my idle hands My silent lips My tired heart I'm still the same woman Who beguiled with a word smile Come looking for me Even when all you hear is my silence. Eileen Manassian

What a lovely write. I wonder why some come/go here on Soup. They come new filled with energy, then maybe they get tired. Some have passed away. Some are getting older. I write because I love to write for my readers.... Have a blessed day writing away...................

Eileen I have been here 11 years and have seen poets come and go. Like most things in life, change is always constant, never one to mingle as much as some I have only watched the change with amusement. Keep writing my friend...I'm glad you're back...Frederic

I've always looked you up because your writes are full of emotion and romance. I never done well with change. I'm trying to revive the heyday of PS. Encouraging poets to write again. We'll see how it goes. I don't do well without community. I'm lonely enough as it is in real life.

Saw your comment below. Things change, people change. I find that my support and interaction here is better than at any time before. Many new ones and some older find the same. Tides ebb and flow. What was popular yesterday may not be today, and what's hot today may not be tomorrow. We take turns. I remember your videos on YouTube, I was a supporter if you'll recall. I've been messaging some poets who I thought were close to me and are no longer here. Some haven't responded. It's heart breaking. The comments were so... . Now even those who are here from before... don't seem to comment the same way. Maybe it's just me. PS was such a big part of my life.
