Love, or love?

There is a Love, a Love willingly and freely given. But beware of Love’s doppelgänger, a love masquerade and well hidden. This love will only selfishly take, but can completely fool you, because he is a master fake. So if ever in doubt, let me help you out. Is it Love, or love? Love willingly and freely given, or love only selfishly taken.

Dear David, I quite like your poem. Indeed, true love is selfless, but there many who masquerade their selfishness as love. Be Blessed, Hiba :)

Thank you Hiba. That's exactly the point I was trying to get across. That we, as imperfect humans, are capable of loving selflessly but to beware of confusing someone's selfishness, or even our own at times, of the former. But it's my desire and goal each day to learn to love more like the former. Many blessings to as well. ")
