***love of the Pen. Tribute To the Pens of 2008-2009****
I’ll write to my fingers go numb
Work with the pen as an allied friend
Through hardship this pen will help me ascend
Metaphors and personification this pen will help me blend
When competing for love this pen will help me contend
When I have sinned this pen is to write my amend
When I must protect me or you this pen will work to defend
Equation and critical thoughts this pen will help me comprehend
When my imagination runs wild this pen will help me pretend
When you need a friend my hand and pen will extend
As long as I breath I befriend the pen to the very end
(dedication to my favorite pens which ran out of ink. they helped me write about many of
things in the years)
