Love Lost To Come
A shattered heart, a shattered dream,
A love that once burned bright and gleamed,
Now torn apart at the seams,
A soul left empty, without esteem.
The days are long, the nights are cold,
The memories of love, now grow old,
The tears they fall, the heart it folds,
A story that's left, left untold.
The promises we made, now broken,
The love we shared, now unspoken,
The bond we forged, now a token,
Of what we lost, our love now broken.
The pain it lingers, deep inside,
A wound that's hard to bear, to hide,
The hope it fades, the dream it died,
A heart left broken, shattered, denied.
But in the end, we must move on,
Find the strength to carry on,
And though the love may be gone,
A new day will dawn, a new love to be born.
