Love Letter From Heaven

When the pandemic came to an end
a massive flood hit the states
It was like something you'd never seen my friend
I mean God really opened the gates
As quickly as the water came it seemed to disappear
The sun came out, clouds vanished the sky was strangely clear
People began helping each other like they'd never done before
Neighbors that you hadn't met came knocking at the door
Prayers were heard all over town and not just in church
If a person could not be found everyone joined the search
I walked along the waters edge and saw a tiny paper boat
I love you was what I read it was a love letter afloat
I wondered if it came from heaven with all that rain
Did you send it from up there? Did it say my name?
I chose to believe you sent it from far up above
and as I watch it float away I could feel your love

                                                                                 01/06/2021
