Love leaves a light glowing softly
Inside the heart that it touches
A light that is especially Godly
Never so assured that it judges
~
Love leaves an insight into happiness
Fills the anxious heart to overflowing
Makes ugliness seem like prettiness
Helps the heart to continue growing
~
Love leaves the seasons filled with intimacy
A sense of purpose and pure sentimentality
No one could imagine it be taken so literally
Or that love like this would have such finality
~
Love leaves the wonders of a heart open wide
Creates assured faith in the joy that is to come
Welcoming peace and hope to come inside
She awakens the heart to surprises for some
~
Love leaves the aches of yearning for another
When that other has gone or can’t be discovered
It is a love so strong, as if for a true brother
Thankfully, in time, love leaves the heart recovered
~
Love leaves a desire that ignites the very soul
With a fire of delight that God sends to uphold
It welcomes the power that makes it feel whole
And it’s worth so much more than solid gold
~
Love leaves a fierce heart with a craving for more
Because what God inspires always yearns for sure
It reaches inside the heart and touches the very core
Knowing that God has sent a love that is mature
~
Love longs for a way to give back to another
The pure and glowing flame of its excitement
It is a flow of love that won’t ever smother
And its passion is more precious than a diamond
