Love is my Prop
I've fallen in love with a four wheeled prop And I am walking along with a bop I thought long and hard Now it's my safeguard Together we make a gruesome bellhop. I wondered maybe it'd make me look old But then perhaps I am old, all things told I feel quite sprightly Now stand uprightly Things have improved a hundredfold, I'm sold. They do say that pride comes before a fall I’ll tell you that is true for one and all With my wheels I shop Held up by my prop Furthermore we’re in for quite a long haul.

haha. I would almost think this were written by dear Pangie, who I think is having to use one of these. Cute poem, Belle. Maybe you can get strong enough not to use it?

Hi Andrea, Pangie and I are broken hip sisters, both having had similar problems and ending up using a walker, a prop as I call it. I am strong, just not that good at walking outside unaided. Laugh and the world laughs with you, with the aid of my prop that’s what I intend to do. Thank you, Belle

Hello Belle ... forget about pride, it's your safety that is paramount so let your prop be your close friend - thank you Belle - Lindsay

Hello Lindsay, I so agree that keeping safe is what the vulnerable should do, I see so many out there struggling to walk and carrying heavy bags when there’s no need to be embarrassed about using what aid is available. Thank you, Belle

Pride comes before a fall--brilliantly said, Belle. Very honest poem you wrote on aging--we can all relate.

Brother John it’s the best thing I could have done, especially now that Alan isn’t mobile yet, he always used to carry the heavy shopping, the prop will do that for now and always. Thank you, Sis Belle

Hi Belle, good for you and so proud you told us - when one is needed only fools don't want it - hope you are keeping well and no doubt you are sprightly with your prop as is your magic mind with poetry. Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

Hi Jennifer, I love my walker as I’ve had problems since twelve years of age, I had a septic hip and it left me in pain for years, had to wait for hip and knee replacements as they supposedly don’t last, mine were done twenty years ago, so far so good. It’s so much better to use a walker instead of a walking stick and it’s amazing the shopping it can carry for you. Blessings and hugs, Belle

I have one, too! We match, Belle! But I could mot walk after a broken thigh a, knee and surgery and when I was able to get out of bed, those gray walkers, sans wheels. I broke my leg using a Prop at home on a carpeted foot. Belle, never use aprop without shoes. They seem trustable 100 per cent. Are not. You tube points out safety pointers. Meanwhile I like the word PROP. In the states, called.’rollators” enjoy your word. Bless ALan and you. Pangie Hugs, Prop Pangie.

We are broken hip sisters also. Mine was 6 years go. No replacement needed. Just huge pins. I must be a hardware store inside)). And older, of course. Knee surgery works well. My son in law had that. Ouch. Unbelievable you used a stick! I like the PROP. Glad you will wear shoes. I do mean shoes. No slippers when using it. Gee, I thought I was indestructible, Hah! Pangie,

Hi Pangie, we have something in common, I had a very bad hip which started after an accident at school. I ended up with a bone infection and had four months in hospital back then. The pain never left me until I had a hip and knee replacement, one aged 54 the other two years later. That’s a very long time ago and the replacements are still fine. I used a stick to aid walking but my prop is much better for me. I’ll take your advice and always use my prop wearing shoes. Thank you, Belle hugs, Prop Belle

As we get older everything that makes life that little bit easier we should use. Hope you're well Belle and your husband is making good progress. Tom

Hi Tom, I love my walker and it’s made life much easier. Alan is gaining strength very slowly, he can’t walk or stand unaided yet and is still traumatised by everything that’s happened. Thank you, Belle
