W-O-W, Paul. This one is awesome! Not only very witty, but a pure delight, and profound, in just three short lines! You've demonstrated that it's not about word count, but rather just the right words, arranged in just the right way. Each word served a purpose, and you ended up with something that felt "larger" than what seemed initially possible. Have to favorite this one.

Thank you for stopping by, Constance. I know what you mean about losing pets; it's hard to replace, but at least part of the void will be filled with the arrival of a new one. All the best. // paul

I am reading SO much into this Senryu Paul (Maybe TOO much?) but that's what makes a poem a good read in my opinion... Much wisdom and insight on display in just a few well phrased words...Good stuff! - Tim
