Love is a Quiet Verb

When love is too loud, and lurid, it languishes in lewd, lusty lakes. When love is silent, and steadfast, it sings sweetly with soft waves on sea shores. When love is motionless and mute, it meanders to black mold and makes miserable, monotonous marshes. So let me love thee silently, softly, with actions, with adjectives and valiant verbs. Saying I love you with kind kisses, empathetic embraces, tender touches, longing looks, weary work, and tedious tasks. An underwater silence full of graceful gestures and mysterious moves… …letting love lead, and last a lifetime.

Indeed it is, I wrote that once in a poem, how it is a silent emotion... Your poem is full of wonderful alliteration and highlights the unspoken nature of love, where our actions are so much more important than words... after all passion needs no spoken language... IF this is for Tommy's contest, then best of luck...

It is, thanks! I may have over did it a bit but, maybe you feel this way when you write too, it just flowed that way all on is own! I don't like to edit too much, I feel it's less organic when I do. Probably silly. Again, your visit it so appreciated!
