Love In the Fragrant Dawning Sapphic Verse

LOVE IN THE FRAGRANT DAWNING


                                  Heard the birdsong of delicate blush dawning

                                  Dreamed the soft breath yearning kisses of my darling

                                  Wakened to the flashing agony of wicked truth;

                                  Veiled my trembling heart in black.
