Love Foever
It was a cold winter day
when you slipped away
sorrow settled upon our soul
we did not want to let you go
your days were numbered
we did not want to count
we wanted days to never run out
with frozen tears upon the cheeks
your words memory found
"I am ready to go home"
but or us a time of dread
we thought of all the love you give
as only a mother can give
now you are a memory in our heart
you knew of the sorrow and pain
you gave us a letter and poem to read
your faith was so strong and we were weak
you knew we needed words for us to keep
to ease the pain and sorrow in our hearts
we love you mom and thank you for making us strong.
