Love Downhill

A decade of love now downhill
A relationship gone all sour
Mortal love rotting from within
Of human might showing power.

Shadow of emptiness in souls
Exposed over years to wind and rain
Like flowers fallen to the ground
Feet trampling you, feeling no pain.

Feeling a vacant dream like state
We vacate the space of the heart
Memories of happier times
Draws a blank, with decay we part.
