Love Coward
Met a love coward
Masked in love's warm glow
Oh, he touched my heart with such tenderness
I dared not turn away
His kisses lingered to a silky honey sweetness
His hands caressed until I became a part
Of his disguised truth of hot passion
My arms aching, longing for this oneness
Welcomed a certain sudden peace
He spoke of love in diamond whispers
The forever, he promised, stole away
In the morning mist just at sunrise
He loved me enough, he said: 'To let me go"!
