Love, Burned Out of Sight With No Tears
Our minds can not help from reacting to the situation.
We’re buckling under this gravity of fear.
We’re becoming cold, sharp and quick to reaction.
We’re soaked in the cold of our tears.
Our minds now, they are changing.
Our songs now sing tunes to deaf ears!
The sun rises and then sets every evening.
The world seems to turn through the years.
The past tells us the stories of our treasons
The history books show us all the lessons we fear
The eyes of the children, they are still glistening
An innocence that age disappears!
We’ve seen love beaten, frightened and screaming
We’ve seen life saving angels needlessly disappear
We’ve seen the elderly left to die alone in bitter confusion
Love, burned out of sight with no tears.
Now, our minds they have started listening
To the fear and the anger in our screams
Our minds have started subconsciously preparing
For survival and the costs that will mean.
